This AI Photo Verification Disclaimer explains how [COMPANY LEGAL NAME] ("JobDeposit," "we," "us") uses automated vision models and photo integrity checks to evaluate milestone task photos on the JobDeposit Platform. It is part of our Terms of Service and supplements the Payment & Funds-Holding Terms, Dispute Resolution Policy, Acceptable Use Policy, and Privacy Policy.
For each project milestone funded by a Homeowner's held deposit, the Contractor submits job-site photos for each checklist task. JobDeposit runs a multi-step automated verification pipeline:
itemId, ok, retake, confidence, and plain-English note).phash) to detect duplicate or reused photos.ok: true) with model confidence at or above our threshold (VISIONESCALATEBELOW, default 0.75), the milestone is approved and the milestone payment is cleared for release. If the AI model's confidence is below the threshold (< 0.75), the Platform never auto-releases funds; instead, the milestone is automatically escalated (escalate: true) for senior human review.AI photo verification is not a professional building inspection, municipal code-compliance inspection, structural or engineering assessment, appraisal, or warranty of workmanship. Specifically, automated review:
Under the Payment & Funds-Holding Terms, high-confidence AI approvals trigger automatic release of the scheduled milestone payment from the held deposit without requiring pre-approval from the Homeowner. Both Homeowners and Contractors have the right to request human review of any AI verification result:
Homeowners remain responsible for inspecting finished work in person and ensuring all municipal permit inspections are completed. Contractors must submit only genuine, current, unaltered photos taken at the actual job site in compliance with the Contractor Agreement and Acceptable Use Policy. Submitting false, staged, reused, or off-site images is a material breach that triggers milestone payment holds, transfer reversals/clawbacks, and account termination.
Photos, captions, and EXIF/GPS metadata are processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Where supported by our enterprise API agreements with [AI PROVIDERS, e.g., Google Gemini and OpenAI], we configure and contractually restrict providers from using customer job-site photos to train their general foundation models.
