Not handed over before the work is proven.
Milestone payments for home renovation
Protection for homeowners. Fast payouts for contractors.
The deposit is held by our payment partner and released milestone by milestone, once photo proof passes inspection against the scope both sides agreed.
Payout timing depends on verification, possible human review, dispute holds, and payment-partner and bank processing. JobDeposit is in preview in supported service areas.

Milestone 2 of 3 · sample project, not a real customer
Every task needs its own picture from the job.
Each photo is checked against the agreed scope.
Verified milestones pay the contractor's business bank.
How it works
Four steps from deposit to payday
The homeowner pays the project deposit up front. Funds are held by our payment partner, so the contractor can see the money is real before work starts.
The agreed scope becomes milestones. Every checklist item needs its own photo proof.
A vision check compares each photo to the scope, flags problems, and asks for a retake when a shot is unclear.
When a milestone passes, funds release to the contractor's verified business bank account.

Questions
Answered in plain language
Does the homeowner approve each payment?
No. You approve the milestone scope and tasks before funding. After that, a milestone is released when every task passes AI photo inspection. Low-confidence results go to a senior reviewer first. You get every photo and summary, and you can dispute a released milestone with your own photos.
What happens if I dispute?
Upload your own photos showing false images, incomplete work, or poor quality. That milestone's funds are held, or recovered from a pending payout, until the dispute is resolved.
Where is the money held?
Funds are held by our payment partner, a regulated payment processor, and pay out only to the contractor's verified, approved business bank account.
How fast do contractors get paid?
Fast payouts. Once a milestone is verified, the payout starts right away.
What can the AI catch?
Missing checklist items, photos that don't match the scope, blurry or unclear shots, and reused or mismatched images. It explains every flag in plain language.
